Once you’ve learned the basics of driving a handlebar‑equipped quad, you’ll set off toward the heart of the island, following both paved roads and dirt trails.
Crossing the Opunohu domain, you’ll ride along dirt trails that take you from the depths of Opunohu Bay up to the iconic lookout, with its sweeping views over Mount Rotui and the twin bays of Opunohu and Cook. Passing by the agricultural school and vast pineapple fields, you’ll also discover an archaeological site once inhabited by ancient Polynesians.

You’ll also cross the small river home to Moorea’s sacred eels, before visiting the ROTUI fruit juice and liqueur factory.
Your tour then leads you to the famous ‘Magic Mountain’ (Faaroa), where a dramatic overlook reveals the pass of Opunohu Bay. From this panoramic viewpoint, you can take in the lagoon’s vibrant colors and observe iconic landmarks, including the Protestant temple of Papetoai.
After a stop at the Magic Mountain shop, where you can sample local fruit juices or refreshing smoothies, the tour will begin its return.
